salon studio of ARG 2011 (space 2 on campus)

i have never had a studio and was intimidated for a little while by the empty space and how I would use it. decided to sage, chant & drum to clear the space (studio mates may have found me stranger than usual on this day). became obsessed with the idea of a fainting couch and started researching online... then finally went to the local thrift store with Pepe. the first thing to catch my eye is this contemporary fainting couch (OMG!) & then everything else falls in line...the rose garden carpet, the round antique side table, & the ornate corner book shelf. went wild striking deals and getting great discounts on each item. the delivery guy on hand was ready to bring it to my studio right there & then. it was one of those days where everything just falls into line serendipitously.

Grace Jones - La Vie En Rose

one of the best things that happened in my studio today... while showing professor BB my newly finished video project for this diary... he excitedly sends me this amazing video that someone had sent to him that very morning... not only is this a great compliment, that my video prompted a reference to Grace Jones, but this is the 3rd time that a man has sent me some version of the song Le Vie En Rose. OMG! Like a Double Rainbow! What Does This Mean?

finally up and running after many revisions and/or total deletions. the hardest part of allowing myself to pursue my creativity to the fullest is me. i scrutinize to the point of stagnation. i'm just going to go with it.. see what comes naturally and if it's great..then WOO HOO. if not... well let's not go there!
